For community groups
Advocacy work, by state and by issue.
What we ask for
- Your organisation's name and what it does.
- The states you organise in — tick a region to select several at once; what we store is the individual states.
- The issues you work on.
What the work looks like
Legislative visits and constituent contact; local press; support for the families of people inside, who are usually carrying a case alone long before a lawyer looks at it; and the patient records work that turns one sympathetic story into a documented pattern.
That last one matters more than it sounds. A single case moves people. A body of cases moves legislatures, and someone has to build it.
We would rather join you than duplicate you
If there is already a group doing this in your state, tell us and we will connect you instead of starting something parallel. The point is to concentrate effort, not to plant a flag.
