Reentry, parole and clemency
Getting out is the beginning of a second problem, not the end of the first.
Parole boards that deny without reasons, clemency processes with no timetable, and release into a world where housing and work are closed by the record itself. Legal work ends at the gate; the need does not.
Community groups do most of the real work here, and much of what we do is connect them to the cases and to each other.
